On March 16, 2025, Keiki Labs had the pleasure of participating in the Keiki Fest at Tiki Mama’s in Ocean View, an event organized by the Hawaii Keiki Museum. The afternoon was filled with laughter, learning, and a vibrant exploration of engineering and creativity.
Hands-On Engineering: Crafting Color Wheel Toys
At our booth, young engineers engaged in creating their own color wheel toys. This hands-on activity introduced them to the principles of color mixing and the mechanics of flywheel engineering. With crayons in hand and curiosity in their hearts, the keiki painted and assembled their spinning wheels, witnessing firsthand how colors blend and transform through motion.
A Community Celebration of Learning
Keiki Fest was a testament to the power of community in fostering education and fun. Alongside our activities, families enjoyed stage performances, paintings, and a variety of games offered by other fantastic vendors. The event provided a rich tapestry of experiences, ensuring that every child found something to ignite their imagination.
Gratitude to Our Supporters
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Hawaii Keiki Museum for organizing such a wonderful event and to Tiki Mama’s for hosting us. A special mahalo to all the families who visited our booth and shared in the joy of discovery. Your enthusiasm fuels our mission to make engineering accessible and enjoyable for all keiki.
Looking Ahead
Reflecting on the success of Keiki Fest, we are inspired to continue creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences. Stay tuned for upcoming workshops and community events as we strive to blend imagination with engineering, sparking curiosity in young minds across our island home.
At Keiki Labs, we believe that the best learning happens through joy and engagement. Thank you for being part of our journey!
