On March 8, 2025, Keiki Labs had the joy of participating in the YAS Fest at Kalākaua Park, engaging with enthusiastic young learners in a day full of colors and scientific exploration!
Colorful Learning Connections
We believe education should be joyful! During YAS Fest, we introduced children to coffee filter chromatography using dark color pens. As water carried different colors up the filters, the kids marveled at how each hue moved at varying speeds—much like a friendship with water!
Exciting Scientific Exploration
The participants transformed ordinary coffee filters into beautiful, flower-like creations, showcasing the joy of learning through science. The excitement in the air was contagious!
Gratitude for Our Community
We were thrilled to share our Kids-Friendly Science Home Activity Products, and we thank all our customers for your support! A special thank you to the East Hawaii Cultural Center (EHCC) for having us, and to Tiara and E.J. from Waiakea High School for volunteering your time and enthusiasm. Your help truly enriched our activities!
Looking Ahead
Reflecting on this vibrant day, we felt fulfilled knowing we sparked curiosity in young minds. Stay tuned for upcoming workshops and community events as we continue our mission to blend imagination with science!
At Keiki Labs, we are excited to keep the spirit of exploration alive—thank you for being part of our journey!
